Notice of Election
This notice is prepared by the Grant County Election Commission to inform the public that the 2026 Preferential Primary Run-off will be held on March 31, 2026. The notice also provides public information regarding this election as required by law:

Absentee Voting: In addition to early voting and Election Day voting, eligible voters may choose to vote absentee. The deadline for the County Clerk to receive absentee ballot applications by mail, fax, or email is Tuesday, March 24, which is also the first day of early voting. Beginning that same day, a designated bearer may pick up a maximum of two absentee ballots.
The deadline for the County Clerk to receive in-person absentee ballot applications from a voter, designated bearer, or administrator is Friday, March 27, by the close of regular business hours. Absentee ballots may also be personally delivered to the County Clerk’s Office by the voter, designated bearer, or administrator by that same deadline.
Absentee ballots returned by mail (excluding military and overseas ballots) must be received by the County Clerk’s Office no later than 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

Crossover voting is prohibited in a runoff. If a voter voted in a party primary, they can only vote in that party’s runoff. If they voted a nonpartisan ballot or did not vote, they can vote in either party runoff.

Election Officials:
Election Officials appointed to conduct early voting, election day voting, and all other required duties will be posted for public viewing in the Grant County Clerk’s office on March 16th and remain posted for no less than 10 days. The County Clerk’s office is located at 101 W. Center St., Sheridan, AR 72150.
Viewing Your Ballot Prior to Voting:
Any voter may look up his or her sample ballot on the Secretary of State’s website at: https://www.voterview.ar-nova.org/voterview. Ballots will be available no later than March 21, 2026. Sample ballots will also be available at the polling site.
